Thursday 28 December
Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da, all you sweet people.
God, that was hard. X-mas, I mean. The god damn turkey.
Thank the same God for the records that sound as good at x-mas as any other part of the year. This year I finally got hold of a "julenek". You know julenek, don't you? No? Well, anyway. Don't worry, it's just a thing for the birds.

The sound of Marc Bolan's "Raw Ramp" rocks my neighbourhood, man, it's a fine time, with snow and all.
People come to my door asking for lost cats:
"Seen my cat?"
"No"
"Got any Dolly Parton records?"
"No" |

Although I really like Dolly Parton, I really, really like her. As soon as the second hand record stores open tomorrow, I'm gonna go buy all her albums. The stuff she did in that duo with whatshisname in the late sixties and early seventies, is probably the best. I'm gonna get all that stuff tomorrow. So tomorrow is going to be a great day.
The mighty sound of The Rolling Stones, "Black and Blue" album fills these x-mas days with joy. My favourite Rolling Stones album. Mick Jagger is, without a doubt, the best singer in the world. And no one plays keyboards like Billy Preston. Good man. Strong name.
Is there anyone out there who's into Neil Diamond? No? Well, I didn't think so. I bought his live album the other day. It was good, but not as good as I hoped it would be.
Well, well, enough for now.
Don't forget me
